Products & Customization

Our experienced manufacturing team fabricates our custom shutters, wood valances, and other wood products in-house at our Naples facility.

Our wood shutters and custom wood products are made from premium basswood.

Our wood and PVC products are custom-built locally at our shop in Naples, Florida.

Most of our shutters are handcrafted from wood. In areas that may experience frequent moisture or direct water exposure, such as certain bathroom or shower applications, we may recommend PVC instead.
Our measuring team will evaluate the space and recommend the most appropriate material for your window.

The right louver size depends on the size and depth of the window, the amount of view you prefer, and the overall look you want to achieve.
Larger louvers create fewer horizontal lines and provide a more open view, while smaller louvers offer a more traditional appearance.
If you already have shutters in your home, you may also choose to match the existing louver size for consistency.

We can customize the paint color to coordinate with your home.
If you would like us to match an existing color, we typically need the paint brand, color name or number, base, and finish.
In many homes, we recommend coordinating the shutters with the existing trim for a clean, built-in appearance.

The best option depends on your design preferences, privacy needs, light-control goals, and the specific window or door.

Ordering & Lead Times

We begin with a complimentary in-home measure.
After the measure is complete, you can typically expect your estimate by the end of the following business day.
A 50% deposit is required to place your products into production. Once your deposit is received, we will also reserve your installation date.

Lead times can vary based on product, materials, and project size.
Typical lead times are:
Plantation shutters: installed in 3–4 weeks
Shades: installed in 4–5 weeksYour installation date will be confirmed when your deposit is received.

Our service areas include Naples, Marco Island, Bonita Springs, Estero, Fort Myers, Cape Coral, Ave Maria, Sanibel Island, and surrounding communities.
Installation

All installations are completed by Shade & Shutter Concepts employees.
Our installation team is experienced with our products and takes care to ensure each window treatment is properly installed, adjusted, and operating correctly.

Professional installation is included in the pricing shown on your estimate unless otherwise noted.

No. As long as our installation team has authorized access to the home, you do not necessarily need to be present.
Access may be arranged through a lockbox, home-watch company, neighbor, property manager, or another approved method.

Installation time depends on the size and complexity of the project.
Smaller installations may take as little as 30–45 minutes, while larger whole-home projects may require most of the day.

In most cases, no special preparation is required.
Our installers can carefully move furniture or items that are blocking access to the windows. If you have fragile, valuable, or particularly important items near the installation area, we recommend moving them beforehand.

Yes.
Our installers use drop cloths when appropriate to protect your flooring and furnishings, and they clean the work area once installation is complete.
Warranty & Repairs

Our qualifying shutters, frames, and wood valances are covered by a Limited Lifetime Warranty against defects in workmanship and materials for as long as the original purchaser owns the home.
Repairs or replacements are completed using like or similar parts or products when applicable.
Painted surfaces are covered by a two-year warranty.

The warranty does not cover damage or conditions caused by:
Normal wear and tear
Abuse, accidents, misuse, or alterations
Water or moisture damage
Wind, sun exposure, or other environmental conditions
Natural fading
Repairs or refinishing performed by someone other than Shade & Shutter Concepts

Properly maintained wood shutters are extremely durable and are designed to provide many years of everyday use.
Our wood shutters are also supported by our Limited Lifetime Warranty for qualifying workmanship and material defects.

For repair requests, we recommend emailing us photos of the issue along with a short description so our team can determine the best next step.
Motorization

Yes.
We offer several motorization and power options depending on the shade, window, and project requirements.

Depending on the product, motorized shades may use:
Rechargeable Battery
A convenient cordless solution using rechargeable lithium batteries.
Low-Voltage Power
Low-voltage wiring can be installed during construction or remodeling to provide concealed power to the shade.
AC Power
Certain systems can be plugged into a nearby outlet or hardwired by a qualified electrician.
Our team can help determine the best power option for your project.

Instructions may vary depending on the motor and shade system.

Payments

We accept cash, check, and most major credit cards.
Checks or cash may be mailed or dropped off at our Naples showroom, or you may call our office to make a card payment.

Yes. Credit-card payments are subject to a 3% processing fee.
We do not currently accept American Express.
